Get ready for more rain, high winds and heavy surf for the next three days in Pattaya area

Pattaya Rainstorm of January 10th, 2018.

Thailand-

The Thai Meteorological Department (TMD) has warned today, Sunday, August 2, 2020, that due to effects from tropical storm “Sinlaku”, which made landfall over Vietnam today, that heavy rain and potential flooding is likely for many parts of the country.

Flooding has already been seen and reported throughout the North and North-East of Thailand earlier today due to heavy sheets of rain, the TMD added.

Chonburi is likely to also face sporadic rainstorms, cloudy and overcast skies and consistent high wind over the next three days. Residents are cautioned to be aware of potential weather delays and that swimming off of beaches in the Pattaya area is not suggested due to the potential of high waves and a rough surf.

For Chonburi the days with the highest chance of rain will be overnight and throughout the day tomorrow, according to the weather warning.

The Pattaya News will follow the weather in our local area closely over the next few days and advise all Pattaya area residents to take precautions and be safe.
