Thailand announces Curfew will be eliminated effective from Monday, June 15

Bangkok-

Dr. Taweesin Visanuyothin, the spokesperson of the Center for Covid-19 Situation Administration, confirmed days of rumors this afternoon and has announced that the National curfew will end.

This will be effective from Monday, June Fifteenth.

The decision was made by the CCSA, led by Prime Minister Prayut Chan-O-Cha and the National Security Council.

They cautioned, however, that the Emergency Decree still remains for now and will be looked at further over the next several weeks. If the situation with Covid-19 worsened, the curfew could be reinstated, Dr. Taweesin also warned.

The curfew is currently from 11:00 PM to 3:00 AM. Dr. Taweesin also said the fourth phase of relaxing restrictions would start on the fifteenth as well.
