Thailand announces three new confirmed cases of the Covid-19 Coronavirus

Bangkok-

The CCSA, or Center for Covid-19 Situation Administration, announced at a press conference this morning a total of three new confirmed cases of the Covid-19 Coronavirus.

Dr. Taweesin Visanuyothin, the spokesman of the CCSA, made the announcement.

He said that one case was imported from a Thai national recently repatriated from the Philippines who went directly to state quarantine.

The other two are locally spread cases in Bangkok.

One is a 72 year old Thai man with multiple health conditions. It is under investigation where he got the virus from. He recently visited a barber which is also being closed and quarantined for fourteen days.

The other case is a 42 year old German expat in Bangkok whose case is also under investigation. According to authorities he recently went to Chaiyaphum to visit relatives who are also being quarantined. He also visited a department store and authorities are looking into contacts being made.

Chonburi, the province where Pattaya is located, had no additional new confirmed cases today for the 27 day in a row. Pattaya City is ten days ahead at 37 days without a single new confirmed case.
