Thailand announces 9 new cases of the Covid-19 Coronavirus

Bangkok-

At a daily press conference at the Covid19 Coronavirus Situation Administration Center, Dr. Taweesin Visanuyothin, spokesman, announced nine new confirmed cases of the Covid19 Coronavirus in Thailand.

No additional deaths were announced.

Chonburi has no new cases and has had none for five consecutive days. Pattaya City has had no cases for two weeks, Banglamung, the region where Pattaya is, has had no cases for eleven days.

Thailand has had a total of 2,947 cases of the virus with a total of 2,665 recoveries. There have been 54 deaths since the start of the outbreak in January.

Today’s number is a very slight increase from seven on the prior day.

Six of today’s cases are close contacts of previous confirmed cases, described as direct family members who live together. Two are medical staff. One is under investigation and being contact traced.
