Terminal 21 Shopping Mall in Pattaya set to open on October 19th, one month away

Pattaya-

LH Mall and Hotel Group is ready to open a North Pattaya mixed-use 6 billion baht mall and hotel project this year on a 52,800 square metre site located near the Dolphin Roundabout in Pattaya.

Suwanna Buddhaprasart, CEO of LH Mall and Hotel Co Ltd, said there would be a 396-room hotel, a 6,000 sqm water park and dedicated meeting and function rooms, a six-floor shopping centre with a cinema, supermarket, Pier 21 food hall and more than 500 shops. Each floor of the mall is based on a different country and theme.

It also boasts a 39-metre freestanding escalator, reportedly the longest in any Thai shopping centre. It is expected to attract more than 50,000 visitors per day and will be a landmark location for tourists and locals alike.

The floor themes for the mall are the following: France, England, Italy, Tokyo, USA, Hollywood and Thailand.

The hotel has previously made the news as it will, per hotel policy, have a strict no booze for sale policy in all of it’s restaurants and lounges.

Chaiyo Pansa, Duty Manager at Grande Centre Point Terminal 21 in Sukhumvit Road, Bangkok told website Thaivisa in an email:

“All the Grande Centre Point hotel group will not sell or provide alcoholic beverages at all.

“However, guests are allowed to bring in their own”.

Regarding corkage charges, Chaiyo said:

“The restaurants at our hotel (Grand Centrepoint Hotel Terminal21(Bangkok)) allows guests to bring in their own alcoholic beverages. There is no corkage charge for that. In the restaurant and guest rooms drinking is allowed”.

Meanwhile, sales coordinator for the Grande Centre Point Pattaya Duangduan Upapong confirmed earlier this month that the same policy as in Bangkok would exist in Pattaya.

She said:  “Our hotel will not serve or provide alcohol to the guests but guests can bring their own. Regarding the restaurants at our hotel (Grande Centre Point Pattaya) and guest rooms, we will allow guests to drink and bring in their own alcohol.  There will be no corkage charge”.
