Bicycle rider seriously injured after collision with car in Chonburi

Chonburi-
A bicycle rider has sustained serious injuries after a motor vehicle collided with her bicycle in Mueang Chonburi yesterday.

Sanesuk Police was notified of the accident at 6:30 PM on Sukhumvit Road in Sanesuk near the Nongmon Market.

An unidentified man, believed to be Thai and roughly sixty years old, lay in front of the car involved in the accident. His heavily damaged bicycle lay nearby.

The motor vehicle driver, 34 year old Ms. Penprapa Wongchana, told Sanesuk police that she was driving at about 80 km/hr.

Penprapa claimed the man riding the bicycle immediately changed lanes and cut in front of her which made her unable to avoid the collision.

Sanesuk police are continuing their investigation for further potential legal action. They will also be reviewing CCTV and speaking with the bicycle rider when he recovers from his injuries.
