BANGLAMUNG, Chonburi: The Banglamung District Red Cross Chapter on October 2ndnvisited communities still affected by flooding and distributed relief packages to 52 households, as residual floodwater continued to disrupt daily life after heavy rain earlier in the week.
Senior District Chief Officer Pichet Thammaho led the team to Wat Tha Kradan in Ban Bang Lamung Fang Than, Moo 4. Officials met residents, offered encouragement, and handed out aid to 44 households there.
Each package included a relief bag, two packs of drinking water, and a cash contribution intended to ease immediate hardship. The team then continued to Wat Nong Ket Noi, where five households received assistance, and to Khao Mai Kaeo Subdistrict Municipality, where three more households were helped, bringing the total to 52.
Heavy storms over the past week left several parts of Banglamung District inundated. Although water levels have begun to recede, standing floodwater remains in some areas and residents continue to face difficulties.
District officials said the visit was meant not only to supply essentials but also to raise the morale of people affected by the flooding.
