PATTAYA: Shoppers and passers-by were left stunned on Saturday when a 40-year-old woman suddenly gave birth in front of Central Pattaya Beach, clinging to a fence at a dinosaur display along Pattaya Second Road.
Rescue workers from Sawang Boriboon received a report on September 19th of a woman in sudden labor outside the mall. Medical staff and police were called to the scene.

They found a newborn girl lying on the ground with the umbilical cord still attached. The infant was not crying at first. Rescuers and motorcycle taxi drivers rushed to help until the baby began to cry. The mother was gone.
Officers later found the woman, 40, in a restroom on the mall’s Ground floor. She was exhausted and hemorrhaging. She was brought back to the scene, and both mother and child were taken to Pattaya Hospital.

The baby weighed about 1.6 kilograms and was estimated at 7 to 8 months’ gestation. The mother said it was her third pregnancy. She described severe abdominal pain before going into sudden labor outside the mall and said she went to the restroom due to the bleeding and medical emergency.
Both mother and child were reported to be safe but remaining under close observation.
Witnesses said they saw the woman staggering toward the dinosaur display, grabbing the fence, and suddenly giving birth in front of onlookers. People nearby were shocked and immediately stepped in to help.
