PATTAYA: An Indian tourist suffered serious injuries, including fractures to both arms, after falling from a hotel in Pattaya early Friday morning, shortly after checking in with a tour group. Police are reviewing CCTV footage to determine how the incident occurred. Preliminary findings show no signs of assault and alcohol intoxication is believed to be the cause.
Rescue workers from the Sawang Boriboon Thammasathan Foundation in Pattaya received a report at 6:49 a.m. on September 4th of a person falling from height at a seven-story hotel on Soi Buakhao 15. Officers from Pattaya City Police Station joined the response.

The injured man, later identified as Mr. Abhishek, 42, was found lying in pain in front of the hotel’s parking area. Rescuers said both of his wrists were broken from the impact and that he had suffered severe injuries to his back.
He was given first aid at the scene and taken by ambulance to Pattaya Memorial Hospital for urgent treatment.
Hotel staff said the tourist had arrived with an Indian tour group and checked in late the previous night. He was registered in room 312 on the third floor. Staff noted that members of tour groups sometimes swap rooms without informing the hotel, so investigators are still confirming which room he was in and from where he fell.
Rescuers observed that the man smelled of alcohol but was conscious and able to speak. He complained of severe back pain and asked to be taken to a local hospital quickly.

The hotel said he has travel insurance covering about 500,000 baht. Officials have coordinated the insurance details to support his medical care.
Police examined the scene and found no immediate signs of foul play or evidence that another person had attacked him. Investigators’ initial assessment is that he may have fallen after drinking.
Officers will review the hotel’s CCTV footage in detail, inspect the rooms, and trace the man’s movements to establish which floor he fell from and how the incident happened. They will also notify the tour leader and the injured man’s relatives.
