Sriracha Municipality joined a ceremony to receive a newly provided home under the Government Housing Bank’s 2026 program to build and repair housing for disadvantaged people, low-income households, older persons, and persons with disabilities.
The ceremony was held in the municipal council meeting room on the second floor of Sriracha Municipality. The Government Housing Bank (GHB) project has operated continuously since 2010. Its goal is to build new homes or renovate existing dwellings so they are structurally sound and safe, and to improve residents’ quality of life and hygiene.
In this round of support, GHB handed over one house to Miss Lertlak Yukhachen, a resident of a community within Sriracha Municipality. Mayor Chatchai Timkrajang accepted the home on behalf of the municipality. Also present were Piyanat Timkrajang, secretary to the mayor; Acting Sub Lt. Thanongsak Puangnoi, municipal clerk; Anna Manoworakul, director of the Social Welfare Division; and other municipal officials.
Sarit Phingkhanawat, GHB’s Chon Buri district manager, acting for the bank’s Eastern Region director, presented the house to the recipient. Officials then posed for commemorative photographs in a warm and appreciative atmosphere.
Since the program began, GHB has supported the construction or repair of more than 5,120 homes. The work aligns with the bank’s corporate social responsibility policy of helping people obtain suitable, safe housing and raising living standards.
Municipal and bank officials described the latest handover as part of a broader partnership to strengthen housing security, reduce inequality, and help residents live more safely, with better health and quality of life over the long term, supporting Sriracha’s goal of becoming a “Wellness City.”
