Bangkok – Pattaya City received the Outstanding Government Entity on Social Media award at the Thailand Social Government Awards 2026, held on August 26th, 2026, at the Aksra Theatre, King Power in Bangkok.
The event was organized by Wise Sight (Thailand) Co., Ltd. to recognize 50 government agencies that demonstrated strong performance and set positive examples in social media communication.
The Outstanding Government Entity on Social Media award was presented to agencies achieving high scores in social media effectiveness and employing outstanding, exemplary communication approaches. Pattaya City was selected for this recognition.
Mr. Damrongkiat Pinijkarn, Deputy Mayor of Pattaya, accepted the award on behalf of the city. He was accompanied by Mr. Korn Phattanasin, Assistant Secretary to the Mayor of Pattaya, and Miss Wipawadee Wongborisut, Acting Director of the Tourism and Sports Office.
In his remarks, Deputy Mayor Damrongkiat said the award provides important encouragement to the Pattaya City team. It shows the city’s commitment to delivering information to the public quickly and accessibly, particularly by using social media as a channel to connect the city with its residents. He added that the recognition strengthens the drive to develop Pattaya into a modern and efficient tourism destination.
