CHONBURI, Thailand: On Wednesday, August 26th, 2026, Chonburi Governor Narit Niramaiwong led the opening ceremony of a mobile medical unit operated by the Princess Mother’s Medical Volunteer Foundation (Por.Sor.) at Ban Nai Bon in the Sa Si Liam Subdistrict of the Phanat Nikhom District.
The event was held at Wat Ban Nai Bon and attended by Phra Khru Phanatburarak, Deputy Ecclesiastical Head of Phanat Nikhom District and Abbot of Wat Ban Nai Bon; Mrs. Suphinya Niramaiwong, President of the Chonburi Red Cross Chapter; Mr. Rak Thanaphaibun, Deputy Provincial Public Health Physician of Chonburi; senior government officials; members of the provincial Red Cross committee; local administrative executives; community leaders; physicians; public health personnel; volunteers; network partners from various sectors; and local residents. Phanat Nikhom District Chief Chayapol Rattanawisutthikul, together with district-level officials and police, welcomed the guests.
The Princess Mother’s Medical Volunteer Foundation was established under the royal initiative of Her Royal Highness the Princess Mother. Its purpose is to ensure that people in remote areas and underprivileged communities receive comprehensive and equitable medical services, a royal aspiration that continues to be upheld today.
In fiscal year 2026, Chonburi Province has scheduled 12 mobile medical unit deployments. This event marked the 11th operation, conducted at Wat Ban Nai Bon to provide equitable and quality healthcare services to the public.
The Chonburi Provincial Public Health Office, together with Por.Sor. mobile medical unit volunteers, integrated efforts from all sectors to deliver free services. These included general medical examinations and treatment, preliminary disease screening and prevention, health promotion, and rehabilitation for residents in remote areas with limited transportation access. The program also supports village health volunteers in assisting local communities and improving residents’ quality of life.
In addition, the Chonburi Red Cross Chapter distributed survival kits and common household medicines to local residents.
