BANG PHRA: Bang Phra Subdistrict Municipality has launched a career promotion and quality-of-life development project for people with disabilities for fiscal year 2026, focusing on a local-wisdom course in making lime-based dishwashing liquid.
The opening ceremony was held today at the multipurpose building of the Bang Phra Subdistrict Municipality sports field. Mayor Lo-ong Phayon ran the event. Also in attendance were Phuchit Pitakkon, president of the Chonburi Province Association of Workers with Disabilities, and members of the municipal council.
Officials said the program applies local knowledge to practical livelihoods. Lime dishwashing liquid was chosen because it is used in everyday life, has a simple production process, and can be developed into a source of income.
Participants will learn not only how to make the product, but also how to improve its quality, design packaging and labels, and potentially develop it into a community product in the future.
Twenty people with disabilities living in Bang Phra Subdistrict Municipality are taking part. Monsicha Tangcharoen served as the trainer for the session.
