SRIRACHA, Chonburi: On Saturday the 22nd of August 2026, Sriracha Municipality organized the annual Youth and Public Sports Competition 2026 to encourage young people and residents to exercise, play sports, improve physical fitness, make productive use of their free time, stay away from drugs, and develop unity, harmony, and community strength.
Mayor Chatchai Timkrajang ran the opening ceremony. He was joined by municipal executives, members of the municipal council, heads of government agencies, community committee members, and local youth. Deputy Mayor Korawan Temiyasorn delivered the project report.
The competition was divided into two teams, red and yellow, and featured four categories of sports: youth and public women’s volleyball, youth and public men’s football, and traditional folk sports.
Additional activities included a cheerleading contest, a parade competition, and a VIP football match between municipal executives and community representatives against private-sector organizations. Schools under Sriracha Municipality also staged performances during the event.
