It’s simply just so tasty
There’s a particular kind of light that settles over Pratumnak at dusk, amber sliding into red, the whole neighbourhood basques after the heat of the day. It’s precisely the light my friend and I walked into on our second visit to Eatali on Soi 5, arriving for an early dinner at the popular, just as the marble-topped tables began catching the last of the sun.
Eatali has quietly become the place to dine on Soi 5 Pratumnak.Tucked into an area that’s fast becoming one of Pattaya’s more sophisticated pockets – think wine bars and the cocktail lounges scattered around Pratumnak, perfect for a drink before or after your meal, the restaurant itself feels like a discovery each time.

What struck me first, again, was the staff. Genuinely attentive without hovering, We started with the truffle soup, and it’s worth pausing on. A truly great truffle soup is a balancing act: silky enough to coat the spoon, but never heavy; the truffle itself present in every mouthful rather than a faint whisper of oil; a cream base rich enough to carry the earthiness without drowning it out. Eatali’s version nails that balance, a pale, speckled surface flecked generously with truffle, finished with a trailing swirl of good olive oil and a little knot of caramelised mushroom sitting at its centre. It’s the kind of dish you eat slowly, on purpose.

The bolognese wrap that followed was the fusion in action, a grilled, char-striped flatbread packed tight with a deeply savoured, slow-cooked ragù, cut clean down the middle so you could see just how generously it had been filled. Rustic, indulgent, and completely un-fussy.
My sea bass was the showstopper of the table, two golden, crisp-skinned fillets alongside chargrilled courgette and aubergine, a blistered whole tomato, and hand-cut chips, with a little jug of butter sauce poured on at the table. Simple ingredients, treated properly.

This, in essence, is what Eatali does so well: Italian technique meeting Thai warmth, without either side shouting over the other.
Right now they’re running a Date Night deal, pizza and wine for two for just ฿550, on until the end of September, alongside a menu of more than thirty hand-stretched pizzas from ฿179. Excellent reasons to go back a third time, and a fourth.

By the time we left, Pratumnak had slipped fully into that dusky amber glow, and the wine bars up the road were just beginning to fill. Eatali is the perfect first act to that kind of evening , proof that this quiet stretch of Pattaya is turning into somewhere genuinely special to eat.
