PATTAYA, Thailand – August 20th, 2026 – Deputy Mayor of Pattaya Kritsana Boonsawat delivered a motivational address on Wednesday to students preparing to compete in the national academic skills competition.
Speaking at the Thapphraya meeting room in Pattaya City Hall, Boonsawat encouraged the students taking part in the “Academic Skills Competition for Students and Educational Exhibition of Students and Teachers under Pattaya City for the Year 2026” at the national level. He also offered words of support and encouragement to the students and their coaching teachers before their departure.
Dr. Siwat Boonkerd, Deputy Permanent Secretary of Pattaya City, said the project wants to develop the potential of teachers and students. It provides opportunities for students to demonstrate their academic abilities and overall potential, while serving as a platform for exchanging knowledge and showcasing talents in diverse fields including music, Thai classical dance, sports, performing arts, and inventions. The event also shows progress in teaching methods by educators and promotes Pattaya City’s educational management to the public.
This year, Pattaya City advanced 40 entries from the Eastern region level. An additional nine entries qualified through the local smart student competition at the Chonburi provincial level, bringing the total to 49 entries. Approximately 400 administrators, students, teachers, and related staff will participate.
The Pattaya City contingent of students and education personnel will join the national local education potential promotion activity for fiscal year 2026 under the 15th National Academic Skills Competition. The event runs from August 24 to 27, 2026, at the Rayong Provincial Administrative Organization.
