Pattaya, Thailand – July 21st, 2026 – Pattaya Mayor Poramese Ngampichet delivered an inspirational address to student representatives from Pattaya City schools before their departure to compete in the 23rd Guangxi Youth Artificial Intelligence and Robotics Competition in Nanning in the People’s Republic of China.
The event took place at Meeting Room 132, Pattaya City Hall, with Pattaya City Secretary Bancha Kullavanich, along with teachers and coaches from Pattaya City School 4 and Pattaya City School 9, in attendance.
The competition, organized by the Guangxi Science and Technology Museum together with relevant agencies, is scheduled for July 24–27, 2026, at the Guangxi Sports Center in Nanning. The Digital World Association and ZMROBO Thailand were invited by the organizers to represent Thailand as an ASEAN member nation. The participation is part of a team effort between ZMROBO Thailand and ZMROBO China to promote learning in robotics, artificial intelligence (AI), programming, and international competition experience exchange.
This year’s competition brings together young participants from multiple provinces in China and ASEAN member countries, including Thailand, Malaysia, and Vietnam. The event wants to provide youth with opportunities to develop critical thinking, problem-solving, creativity, innovation, and teamwork, essential skills for the digital age.
Pattaya City schools are sending two teams to the competition:
Primary School Level

Secondary School Level
Pattaya City School 9
– Miss Kanyanat Sri-rit
– Master Itthiphon Chaidech
Coaches: Miss Thiprawan Thapsan and Miss Mayura Jatansri
In his address, Mayor Poramese Ngampichet encouraged the students to apply their knowledge, abilities, and training experience to the fullest, urging them to show determination, confidence, and to proudly represent their schools, Pattaya City, and Thailand on the international stage.
The participation of Pattaya students in this international competition is part of the city’s strong commitment to advancing education and developing youth potential in science, technology, artificial intelligence, and innovation. It prepares young people to become key contributors to the nation’s future while elevating educational standards to meet the demands of the 21st-century global landscape.
