Ang Sila Municipality, which is near Bangsaen Beach, is accelerating its Smart City development by enhancing public safety through technology. The municipality has granted full access to more than 300 CCTV cameras to the Samed Police Station, enabling real-time monitoring and faster emergency response around the clock.
Mayor Winai Ponphai Phan of Ang Sila Municipality personally visited Pol. Col. Thanaphong Phothi, Superintendent of Samed Police Station, to hand over the access credentials. The handover was witnessed by Mr. Suphakit Chitmat, Chairman of the Samed Police Station Community Relations Committee, and Ms. Priyanithi Chitmat, Chairman of the Don Hua Lo Police Station Community Relations Committee.
The integrated CCTV system allows police officers to view live footage directly through a secure website, eliminating the need to travel to the municipal office for image verification as in the past. Officials can now respond more rapidly to emergencies, accidents, and criminal incidents, while also improving case resolution efficiency.
Mayor Winai stated that the initiative aligns with the municipality’s Smart City policy, which focuses on the use of technology to boost safety and improve residents’ quality of life by reducing bureaucratic steps and accelerating operations.
Ang Sila Municipality plans to expand the program further by granting similar CCTV access to the Saen Suk Police Station and the Mueang Chonburi District Office. This will create a broader, more integrated security network across the area.
