PATTAYA, July 11th, 2026— Chonburi Province continued its mission to create a cleaner and more orderly urban environment on Friday, organizing the 14th Big Cleaning Day at the Pattaya Central underpass on Sukhumvit Road.
Deputy Governor of Chonburi Province, Mr. Pongsathit Pichanan, led the event, which was held under the provincial policy of “Chonburi: A Clean and Orderly City.” Joining him were Mr. Kiattisak Sriwongchai, Pattaya City Clerk acting as Mayor of Pattaya, along with heads of government agencies, provincial council members, local administrative organizations, public and private sector representatives, and related officials who worked together to improve the area.
The program, a joint effort between Chonburi Province and Pattaya City, builds on the province’s six core policy directions. The fourth pillar, “Chonburi: A Clean and Orderly City” , focuses on elevating standards of cleanliness, orderliness, and visual appeal to build a better living environment for residents and create a positive impression for visitors.
Activities during the event included high-pressure road washing, repainting and refreshing road traffic markings, dredging drainage pipes along Sukhumvit Road, and landscaping improvements to the road medians. The work was to enhance cleanliness, improve traffic safety, and upgrade the overall appearance of this major thoroughfare used by both locals and tourists.
