Local residents and tourists were left alarmed after a man armed with a knife was spotted wandering along Jomtien Beach in an eccentric state, causing swift action by municipal officers.
Officials from the Jomtien administrative office received reports from concerned members of the public about a suspicious man openly carrying a weapon and walking repeatedly along the beach near Soi 5. The incident caused worry among locals and visitors in the popular beach area.
Municipal officers immediately responded and located the man in the Jomtien Soi 1 area. A search of the man revealed a knife and illegal drugs, methamphetamine pills, in his possession. He was detained at the scene.
Authorities then coordinated with police, who took the man into custody for further legal proceedings.
The quick response helped restore calm to the area, with officials reminding the public to remain vigilant and report any suspicious behavior immediately. No injuries were reported.
