Sri Racha Municipality Launches Creative Youth D.I.Y. Program to Build Skills and Supplementary Career Knowledge

SRI RACHA, Thailand – The Children and Youth Network of Sri Racha Municipality has organized the “Creative Youth D.I.Y. Activities” project to enhance young people’s potential and equip them with practical knowledge for supplementary occupations.

The training session for the fiscal year 2026 (B.E. 2569) was held at the Pradu Daeng Meeting Room, Ban Sri Maharajha Municipal School, in Sri Racha District. Ms. Krawan Temiyasorn, Deputy Mayor of Sri Racha Municipality, led the opening ceremony. Ms. Natthayan Sawangwinaiwat, representative of the municipality’s children and youth network, delivered the project objectives and rationale.

Organizers explained that rapid changes in Thai society and advances in technology have exposed young people to numerous stimuli, making it essential for all sectors to monitor and address youth-related challenges. In response, government agencies, private organizations, and civil society groups are working together to support the Children and Youth Council by developing skills through creative activities and building strong partnerships.

The program is to strengthen the Children and Youth Network, promote self-development, and provide knowledge about supplementary careers. Participants learn skills that can generate additional income for their families, make productive use of free time, and create alternative career pathways.

More than 100 student representatives from three schools under the Si Racha Municipality attended the workshop. Organizers hope it will cause continuous youth development and encourage the growth of active children and youth networks across the area.
