PHAN THONG, Chonburi– Police are investigating a burglary at a single-storey house under construction after thieves cut electrical wiring and stole power tools during a night of heavy rain, with the owner admitting he left the site unguarded.
Officers from Phan Thong Police Station were alerted at 1:00 p.m. on June 12th, 2026, by Mr. Tom, 48, the owner of the property in Village No. 4.
Upon arrival, police found that unknown suspects had entered the nearly finished house and cut several electrical cables installed inside. They also stole two angle grinders (stone grinders). The total estimated financial loss is approximately 30,000 baht.

Mr. Tom told police that heavy rain had fallen throughout the previous night. Believing the bad weather would deter intruders, he did not arrange for anyone to guard the site. He suspects the thieves were locals who noticed the house was unoccupied and took advantage of the situation.
The owner has urged police to quickly track down and arrest those responsible. Officers have begun collecting evidence and are reviewing security camera footage and witness statements from the area as part of their investigation.
