Banglamung, Chonburi – A late-night brawl erupted in the Nong Manao Community of Pattaya after a 25-year-old man loudly tested his motorcycle engine, triggering a dispute that escalated into a group invasion, chase, and violent clash between multiple large groups of Thai men. One man was injured, while several vehicles were damaged.
At approximately 00:10 on June 8th, 2026, officers from Banglamung Police Station responded to reports of a fight with injuries. They arrived with rescue personnel from Sawang Boriboon Thammasathan Pattaya to assist the wounded.
At the scene, a large crowd of residents and teenagers had gathered. Police found an unidentified Thai man, approximately 30 years old, heavily intoxicated and suffering from injuries sustained in the brawl. Rescue workers provided first aid before transporting him to Pattaya Memorial Hospital.
Officers discovered multiple knives left at the scene, which were seized as evidence. A sedan had its windows smashed, and a black Honda Wave 125 motorcycle was found abandoned and severely damaged from a collision.
Mr. Rojanawisit Buaton, 25, who was involved in the incident, agreed to speak to The Pattaya News team about the incident:
“Earlier in the evening, a group of teenagers had been drinking in the soi. I had just finished repairing my motorcycle and took it out to test the engine near the entrance of the soi before riding it back home.”
“Later, the same group rode into the soi as if looking for trouble. They left but returned around 11:00 PM, revving their engines loudly in front of my room, shouting, and carrying knives and other weapons. They then rode off again.”
Mr. Rojanawisit said he followed them on his bike to “clear up the misunderstanding”. The other party reportedly told him the issue was resolved and they wanted no further problems. However, as he was riding back home, some members of the group allegedly chased him with knives, attempting to attack him.
He abandoned his motorcycle and ran back to his house, calling for his older brother and family members to help. A chaotic fight then broke out between both sides as relatives poured out of the house.
Police are currently interviewing all parties involved, reviewing CCTV footage, and gathering witness statements to determine the exact sequence of events and identify those responsible. Legal action will be taken against the suspects in accordance with the law.
