Pattaya Journalists Association Hosts Funeral Rites for Mother of Local Reporter

Pattaya– On May 7th, 2026, at Wat Thammasamakkhi, the Pattaya Journalists Association, led by President Amporn Saengkaew and association members, served as co-host for the Buddhist chanting ceremony (Phra Abhidhamma) in honor of Mrs.Pradap Phoemphun, amid an atmosphere of sorrow and remembrance.

Distinguished guests and representatives from various sectors attended to pay their respects and offer condolences. Among them were Pattaya Deputy Mayor Damrongkiat Pinijkan, Pattaya Tourist Police Superintendent Lt. Col. Suparat Meepreecha, Pattaya City Council members, and numerous colleagues from the local media, all gathering to show solidarity and provide moral support to the bereaved family.

Mrs. Pradap was the mother of Mr. Chatchai, a well-known and dedicated local journalist who has reported on Pattaya news for many years.

The chanting ceremonies will continue until May 8, 2026. The cremation ceremony is scheduled for May 9, 2026, at 4:00 PM at Wat Thammasamakkhi.
