SRIRACHA, Chonburi – Despite the long weekend, tourism on Koh Si Chang continues to thrive, with large numbers of visitors flocking to the island for a relaxing getaway.
On Saturday, May 2nd, 2026, reporters visited the Sriracha-Koh Si Chang ferry pier at Koh Loy in Sriracha district, Chonburi province. They found throngs of tourists, many traveling with families, in large groups, or as couples, patiently queuing in a line to purchase tickets for the cross-strait ferry service.

The departure point at the end of the Sriracha-Koh Si Chang pier was packed with holidaymakers eager to board vessels bound for the popular island destination. In response to the overwhelming demand, ferry operators significantly increased the number of sailings throughout the day to ensure sufficient capacity for all passengers.

The surge in visitors during this extended holiday period is expected to inject several million baht into the local economy, benefiting businesses around the pier and on Koh Si Chang itself.
Koh Si Chang, known for its serene beaches, sea views, and relaxed atmosphere, remains a favorite short-trip destination for both domestic tourists and those seeking a quick escape from the mainland. Officials anticipate continued high passenger volumes over the remaining holiday days.
