Grass Fire Erupts Behind Thepprasit Go-Kart Track in Jomtien

Pattaya, Thailand – At approximately 10:10 AM yesterday, firefighters were called to a grass fire in Soi 9 off Thepprasit Road, directly behind the Thepprasit Go-Kart track in the Jomtien area.

Officials from the Jomtien Fire Station responded swiftly, dispatching four fire engines to the scene. Strong gusting winds caused the flames to spread rapidly across a wide area, turning the situation critical in the early stages.

Firefighters faced significant challenges as the continuous wind fanned the blaze, causing it to expand steadily. Crews had to coordinate carefully, attacking the fire from multiple directions with water jets to prevent it from reaching nearby properties and structures.

As of the latest update, the fire has been brought under control within a limited area. Firefighters are continuing to spray water to cool the ground and prevent any re-ignition.

No injuries or fatalities have been reported. The cause of the fire is still under investigation but some initial suspicion is tied to illegal burning of garbage in the area.
