Mr. Damrongkiat Pinitchakan, Deputy Mayor of Pattaya City, attended the 2nd/2026 Meeting of the Chonburi Provincial Committee and Working Group for Tourism Promotion and MICE Industry Development.
The meeting was chaired by Mr. Chaiporn Paephirunrat, Deputy Governor of Chonburi Province, with full participation from committee members, working group representatives, and relevant agencies. It was held in the Chonburi Meeting Room on the 3rd floor of Chonburi Provincial Hall in Mueang Chonburi District.
Chonburi Province is actively driving the MICE (Meetings, Incentives, Conventions, and Exhibitions) industry in a systematic manner. This is to build teamwork across all sectors, elevate tourism standards, enhance competitiveness, and ensure sustainable economic growth in the region.
The meeting focused on reviewing progress in tourism promotion and MICE industry development following the provincial order appointing the committee and working group. This body was established to implement tourism and MICE policies efficiently, flexibly, and through integrated cooperation among government agencies, the private sector, and other stakeholders.
Participants received reports on past operations and discussed strategies to further develop and upgrade Chonburi’s tourism potential. The goal is to better accommodate national and international events while creating unique highlights and generating sustainable economic value from the MICE sector.
The province continues to focus on multi-sectoral integration to position Chonburi as a key player in Thailand’s MICE landscape, building on its strengths in venues, infrastructure, and proximity to major destinations like Pattaya.
