Pattaya, April 14th, 2026— Chonburi Governor Naris Niramaiwong, accompanied by Deputy Governor Isra Charoenchasri, visited Banglamung District to inspect a public service point for the Songkran Festival 2026. The inspection took place at the checkpoint in front of Big C South Pattaya on Sukhumvit Road.
Local authorities and officials warmly welcomed the delegation, including Banglamung District Chief Anusak Piriyomron, Pattaya City Police Station Superintendent Pol. Col. Anek Sarathongyu, Pattaya Padmakun Hospital Director Dr. Wichai Thanasophon, along with heads of government agencies, kamnan, village heads, public health officers, and volunteer rescue teams from the district. The visit was to ensure smooth services and enhanced safety for both residents and tourists during the festive period.
Governor Naris Niramaiwong stated that the public service point in South Pattaya, operating from April 10th to the 16th, 2026, plays a crucial role in supporting travelers and reducing accidents during the Songkran holiday.
He noted that in the past 3–4 days, three road accidents had occurred in the area, resulting in two fatalities and three injuries. These figures show the need for continued strict enforcement of safety measures. The province has coordinated with all relevant agencies to establish service points both on land and by sea, covering major tourist destinations such as Koh Larn and Koh Sichang.
The governor urged the public to strictly follow the principle of “Don’t drink and drive, don’t drive when tired.” He advised everyone to plan their journeys in advance, check vehicle and physical conditions thoroughly, drive with extra caution, obey traffic laws, and follow instructions from officials to minimize losses during this Songkran Festival.
The inspection shows the provincial authorities’ commitment to ensuring a safe and enjoyable Songkran holiday for all visitors and locals in the Pattaya and Banglamung area.
