Pattaya, April 9th, 2026– At 9:30 AM, Mr. Wuttisak Roemkitkarn, Deputy Mayor of Pattaya City, chaired a meeting of the committee responsible for considering subsidies to requesting agencies. The session was held at Meeting Room 242, Pattaya City Hall.
Mr. Kiatisak Sriwongchai, Pattaya City Clerk, along with heads of relevant government departments serving on the subsidy review committee and sub-committees, attended the meeting in full force.
The committee reviewed project proposals seeking subsidies under the Pattaya City budget for fiscal year 2027 (B.E. 2570). Most of the requests were for projects that had previously received funding. The committee therefore resolved that agencies must provide detailed performance reports and budget expenditure records from previous projects to support the current evaluation.
The meeting decided that each sub-committee should formally request the following from applicant agencies:
– For completed previous projects: Full performance reports for the current year.
– For ongoing projects: Updates on the current stage of implementation, along with completed activities from the previous year.
All reports must be accompanied by relevant supporting documents and submitted for consideration at this meeting. The committee will assess whether each project is appropriate, delivers clear benefits to the public, and complies with established regulations and criteria.
The projects under consideration include:
1. Project to support public order and safety in Banglamung District (subsidy to Banglamung District Office)
2. Project to enhance drug prevention and suppression capabilities of the Chonburi Provincial Drug Control Coordination Center (subsidy to Chonburi Provincial Drug Control Coordination Center)
3. Drug prevention and suppression project at Banglamung Police Station (subsidy to Banglamung Police Station)
4. Drug prevention and suppression project at Pattaya City Police Station – procurement of urine drug test kits (subsidy to Pattaya City Police Station)
5. Project to support royal ceremonies, royal tributes, and celebrations honoring the monarchy in Banglamung District (subsidy to Banglamung District Office)
6. Project to support road accident prevention and reduction during festivals in Banglamung District (subsidy to Banglamung District Office)
7. Project for animal welfare management and solving the problem of stray dogs and animals in Chonburi Province (subsidy to Chonburi Provincial Stray Dog Shelter Foundation)
8. Basic first aid and primary medical assistance training project (subsidy to Sawang Boriboon Pattaya Rescue Unit)
9. Project to support activities of the Chonburi Provincial Red Cross Chapter (subsidy to Chonburi Provincial Red Cross)
10. Project for self-reliance development in children and youth (subsidy to Father Ray Foundation)
11. Project to promote employment for persons with disabilities and management of the Phra Maha Thai Disability Employment Center (subsidy to Phra Maha Thai Foundation for Persons with Disabilities)
12. Project to promote development and vocational training for persons with intellectual disabilities, autism, and brain impairments (subsidy to Phra Maha Thai Foundation for Persons with Disabilities)
13. Thai Heritage Conservation Project (subsidy to Pattaya City Cultural Council)
14. Project to improve the electrical distribution system by installing underground cables along Pattaya-Na Kluea Road and Sawang Fa Road, Banglamung District, Chonburi Province (budget divided into 2 phases)
15. Project to expand the tap water distribution area in Pattaya City (Pattaya City requests the Provincial Waterworks Authority to conduct a survey)
The committee resolved to adjust and reduce subsidies for certain projects to ensure appropriateness and to prioritize initiatives that involve genuine cooperation with Pattaya City and deliver direct benefits to Pattaya residents.
Applicant agencies were instructed to clarify project details, ensure full compliance with regulations, procedures, and required documentation formats, and to align their proposals accordingly.
Mr. Wuttisak Roemkitkarn, Deputy Mayor of Pattaya, stated that in future budget years, agencies requesting subsidies must organize activities exclusively within Pattaya City boundaries. This is to ensure maximum benefit for Pattaya residents and those living in the area, while fully complying with official regulations.
He added that projects with incomplete explanations or those not implemented in Pattaya may not be considered for funding. The goal is to maximize tangible benefits for the public and the city.
