Pattaya, Chonburi – A tense incident took place late on Saturday night when two black Toyota Alphard luxury vans, both driven by Chinese men, were involved in a high-speed pursuit-style collision under a motorway overpass, resulting in significant damage and a brief fire that alarmed nearby residents.
At approximately 10:50 PM on April 4th, 2026, investigators from Nong Prue Police Station received a report of a vehicle collision with injuries on the road running alongside the railway tracks, beneath the elevated motorway interchange in the Nong Prue sub-district. Rescue teams from Sawang Boriboon Thammasathan Pattaya were immediately dispatched to the scene.

Upon arrival, authorities found two heavily damaged black Toyota Alphard vans. One had slammed into a concrete pillar or beneath the bridge, crumpling its front end severely. The second vehicle was parked nearby with its front wheel mounted on the sidewalk and similar front-end damage. Sparks and smoke suddenly erupted from the van that struck the structure, prompting panicked locals to rush in with water to help extinguish the flames before rescue personnel gained full control of the situation.

Investigation revealed that the drivers of both vehicles were Chinese men. One Chinese woman also sustained injuries in the crash. None of the individuals agreed to disclose their names to reporters and refused to explain what caused the crash. Rescue workers provided initial first aid, but the injured party declined further hospital treatment and declined being taken to any hospital.
Witnesses at the scene described seeing the two luxury vans driving aggressively, tailgating each other in a manner resembling a dangerous chase or attempt to ram, before one lost control and veered into the bridge structure.

Police arrived before the Chinese nationals could leave the scene after refusing medical assistance and to speak with the media and have requested the three Chinese nationals to come to Nong Prue Police Station for further questioning. Authorities are continuing to determine the exact cause of the accident and will proceed with legal action accordingly.
This is a developing story.
