Massive Brawl Erupts in Front of Pattaya’s Walking Street as Foreign Female Tourists Clashes with Group of Thai Transgender Women

Pattaya, Chonburi – In the early hours of March 29th, 2026, a violent brawl broke out near the entrance to Walking Street in South Pattaya, drawing a large crowd of shocked onlookers who recorded the incident on their phones and shared the video online, immediately causing it to go viral.

At approximately 3:30 a.m., Pattaya Tourist Police received a report of a fight involving a dark skinned female foreign tourist and several friends, aged approximately 25–35, possibly American based on her accent, and a group of more than 10 transgender women. The clash occurred at the old ferry pier area in front of the Walking Street entrance.

Officers, along with related agencies, rushed to the scene and found dozens of Thai and foreign tourists gathered to watch the commotion. The situation escalated into a chaotic scuffle between the foreign woman and her friends and around 8–10 transgender women, causing several parked motorcycles to be knocked over and damaged. The disturbance created panic among people in the busy nightlife zone.

Tourist Police managed to bring the situation under control shortly afterward. They took statements from four Black female foreign tourists at the scene, while the group of transgender women dispersed and fled. Authorities are now seeking to locate and question members of the group to determine the exact cause of the fight. The main foreign woman involved repeatedly claimed the transgender women also took her bag. It was unclear what sparked the fight and police reminded the public that instead of resorting to violence if people were having a disagreement they were unable to resolve they should immediately call police to be an impartial mediator.

This incident is the latest in a series of similar brawls reported in the area, most of them involving groups of transgender women, bringing calls from locals and business operators for authorities to implement stricter safety measures. Walking Street and its surroundings are major tourist hubs that see heavy foot traffic, especially at night, making public order and prevention of recurring disturbances a high priority.

No serious injuries were immediately reported, and the investigation is ongoing to clarify the full circumstances and identify all parties involved.

The Pattaya News will continue to follow developments as more information becomes available.
