Sri Racha, Chonburi – March 14th, 2026 – Surveillance camera footage has captured the moment a teenage motorcyclist abruptly crossed a busy road, resulting in a violent collision with an oncoming rider and leaving both parties seriously hurt.
The accident occurred at approximately 4:05 p.m. on March 14th, 2026, near a weekend market in the Sri Racha district. According to rescue teams from the Sawang Prateep Sri Racha Foundation, emergency services received a report of a motorcycle crash involving two injured individuals, one in critical condition.

At the scene, responders found two overturned motorcycles: a red-and-black Honda Scoopy i (registration จทข 92 ชลบุรี) and a dark blue Honda MSX (registration 1 กถ 7158 ชลบุรี). Both vehicles showed significant front-end damage consistent with a high-impact crash.
The first rider, 17-year-old student Mr. Phongphan, sustained abrasions and body pain after he pulled his motorcycle out from a side soi (alley) adjacent to the market and crossed three lanes to reach the opposite side. The second rider, 41-year-old Mr. Kittipong Thongra-or, was traveling straight along the main road at speed. Unable to brake in time, his bike struck the side of Mr. Phongphan’s vehicle head-on.
The force of the impact ejected Mr. Kittipong from his motorcycle, causing him to slam into the pavement. He suffered severe injuries, including a head laceration, loss of consciousness (though he later regained awareness but remained agitated), multiple abrasions, and widespread body pain. Mr. Phongphan, while less severely hurt, also required immediate medical attention.

Rescue volunteers and emergency medical staff from the “Lanthem” advanced life support ambulance at Somdet Phra Borom Ratchathewi Na Si Racha Hospital provided on-site first aid before urgently transporting both men to the hospital for further treatment.
CCTV footage reviewed by authorities clearly shows the sequence of events: Mr. Phongphan exiting the soi and cutting across the road just as a line of motorcycles approached in the straight lane. His bike was positioned directly in the path of Mr. Kittipong’s oncoming vehicle, leaving no time to avoid the crash.
Sri Racha Police arrived to inspect the scene, document evidence, and photograph the wreckage. Both injured parties were taken to the hospital under police escort. Authorities stated that formal questioning and legal proceedings will proceed once the victims have recovered sufficiently to provide statements.
