Pattaya, Thailand – March 14th, 2026 – A 33-year-old Japanese tourist, Mr. Ichiki, has filed a police complaint after allegedly being assaulted and robbed by a transgender woman in his hotel room in the early hours of March 13th, 2026.
The incident occurred in a hotel located in the Nongprue subdistrict near Pattaya City. Mr. Ichiki, who owns a well-known restaurant in Japan, told reporters through an interpreter that he met the suspect, a transgender woman, around 4:00–5:00 a.m. on Walking Street in South Pattaya.
According to the victim, he agreed to hire her for a relaxing massage at a price of 1,000 baht and brought her back to his hotel room. While he was showering, he later discovered that approximately 2,000 baht in cash was missing from his wallet, leading to an argument.
The dispute escalated into a physical altercation. Mr. Ichiki attempted to escort the woman out of the room, but she reportedly became aggressive, kicking and breaking the glass door of the room, causing damage. In the chaos, the victim fled the room in fear. During his escape, he dropped around 9,000 baht in cash on the floor, which the suspect allegedly also picked up and took.
The woman is also accused of further damaging items in the room and breaking the victim’s mobile phone. Mr. Ichiki noted that the suspect may have sustained a leg injury from the broken glass, as blood was visible.
The victim provided hotel CCTV footage to reporters and police, which clearly captured the suspect’s image. He has formally reported the incident to authorities and submitted the video as evidence to aid in tracking down the suspect.
Mr. Ichiki expressed feeling unsafe and urged police to apprehend the suspect quickly so that legal proceedings can move forward to the fullest extent.
Pattaya police are currently reviewing the CCTV footage, gathering additional evidence, and working to locate and question the suspect. The case is being investigated under relevant laws for assault, theft, and property damage.
