The Ministry of Tourism and Sports has reported ongoing assistance for foreign visitors affected by unrest in the Middle East, with more than 4,500 tourists receiving support over the past two weeks. Authorities said coordinated operations across airports, provincial offices, and emergency hotlines are helping travelers adjust plans and secure essential services while remaining in the country.
Between February 28 and March 10, a total of 4,525 foreign tourists received help through three main channels. Tourist Assistance Centers at five major airports—Suvarnabhumi, Don Mueang, Chiang Mai, Phuket, and Krabi—assisted 2,833 people. The Tourism Authority of Thailand handled 918 cases through the 1672 hotline, while provincial tourism and sports offices in 32 provinces supported another 774 visitors.
Officials said 519 tourists were assisted on March 10 alone, indicating continued demand for support as regional tensions disrupt travel plans. Additional personnel have been deployed to airport assistance centers to provide round-the-clock services and guide travelers to available resources.
The ministry has also coordinated with accommodation providers to offer discounted lodging, with 74 hotels in nine provinces participating. Authorities are distributing verified information to reduce confusion and are working with embassies, immigration officials, and airlines to resolve individual cases quickly while maintaining close cooperation between public and private agencies assisting visitors during their stay in Thailand.
