RAYONG, Thailand – March 9th, 2026 – In a demonstration of rapid response and effective inter-agency coordination, officers from the Immigration Police Division in Rayong Province successfully apprehended a 62-year-old Indian national wanted on a fraud warrant.
The arrest took place today (March 9th, 2026) at approximately 12:30 p.m.
Under the supervision of Pol. Col. Komwut Chongboonwatthana, Superintendent of Immigration Police in Rayong Province, and Pol. Lt. Col. Chanyarat Buathongchan, Deputy Superintendent, the operation was led by Pol. Lt. Col. Wiset Wansawat and Pol. Maj. Krit Thaitheerasetthian, Inspectors at the Rayong Immigration Office.
Officers from the Rayong Immigration Investigation Team closely coordinated with investigators from Huai Khwang Police Station in Bangkok. Through integrated intelligence sharing and swift tracking efforts, authorities located and arrested Mr. Hemant, aged 62, an Indian national subject to an outstanding arrest warrant for fraud (charges related to cheating or deception).
Following the apprehension, Mr. Hemant was promptly transferred to investigators at Huai Khwang Police Station for further legal proceedings in accordance with Thai law.
Mr. Hemant did not immediately release a statement or plea to the charges.
