PATTAYA, Thailand (March 5th, 2026)– Pattaya City Mayor Poramese Ngamphichet, accompanied by Deputy Mayor Wuttisak Roemkitcha, city council members, department heads, and relevant officials, visited the Chum Sai Community Primary Health Center to show support for local Village Health Volunteers (known as อสม. or VHVs) and to listen to their concerns, challenges, and operational suggestions.
During the visit, Mayor Poramese engaged in friendly discussions with the volunteers, discussing their vital role as the frontline force in community public health. He stressed their importance in disease surveillance and prevention, caring for vulnerable groups such as the elderly and those with chronic conditions, and continuously educating residents on health matters.

The mayor expressed gratitude to all sectors involved in advancing public health initiatives, noting that their team efforts are key to improving the quality of life for people in the area.
Meanwhile, representatives from the Chum Sai Community Primary Health Center presented a list of urgently needed equipment for basic care and treatment. Items in short supply include massage oils, balms, blood pressure monitors, and height measurement devices. Additionally, they requested an upgrade of an electrical transformer from 5 amps to 15 amps to better handle the increasing number of residents using the center’s services, as well as frequent study visits by various agencies.

The center has also been actively involved in studying and addressing drug abuse issues under the “Mother of the Land Fund” program, with multiple organizations conducting on-site observations.
The visit is part of the Pattaya City Administration’s ongoing commitment to strengthening grassroots health networks and supporting the dedicated volunteers who serve as essential links between the community and formal healthcare systems.
