Pattaya, Chonburi – March 5, 2026 Police are investigating the suspicious circumstances surrounding the death of a man believed to be Chinese, whose body was discovered hanging near the Khao Talo railway track this morning.
At approximately 9:00 a.m., Pol. Lt. Col. Ratchaphon Seneewong, Deputy Inspector (Investigations) of Banglamung Police Station, received a report of a body found along the roadside parallel to the railway tracks in Nong Prue. Officers coordinated with volunteers from the Sawang Boriboon Thammasathan Foundation in Pattaya to inspect the scene.

At the location, authorities found the deceased male, estimated to be a foreign national of Chinese nationality, hanging from a steel beam on the roof structure of what appeared to be a hotel motorcycle parking area adjacent to the railway. The man was wearing a blue round-neck T-shirt with white floral patterns, black elephant-patterned long pants, and white sneakers. A nylon rope had been used to tie him to the beam and around his neck, resulting in his death.
Nearby, officers discovered three handwritten letters in Mandarin placed on the ground, which were collected as evidence. Preliminary assumptions suggest these may be suicide notes, but police explained that a full translation and detailed examination are required to determine their contents and authenticity.
A 41-year-old Thai man, Ekkapoj Nundee, who discovered the body, told police he had driven past the area earlier that morning while delivering water to his child and noticed nothing unusual. On his return trip, however, he spotted the body and was shocked. He immediately composed himself and contacted authorities.

Police documented the scene with photographs and took the letters into custody for further analysis. While the discovery of the notes initially pointed toward suicide, officers noted that the case remains under active investigation to confirm whether it was a genuine suicide or if other factors are involved.
The body has been sent for autopsy, and authorities are working to identify the deceased through potential fingerprints, documents, or other means, as well as to translate the letters promptly. Updates on the investigation are expected as more details emerge.
