Huai Yai, Banglamung, Chonburi – In the early hours of March 3rd, 2026, a 45-year-old woman was involved in a serious single-vehicle accident after losing control of her car on a curve, slamming into a residential property’s wall. Police discovered drug-related equipment inside the vehicle following the crash.
At approximately 1:10 a.m., officers from Huai Yai Police Station received a report of a sedan veering off the road and crashing into a house. The incident occurred in front of house number 49, Moo 9, on Chak Taeng Road.

Responding swiftly, police coordinated with volunteers from the Sawang Boriboon Thammasathan Pattaya Rescue Foundation to rush to the scene for assessment and emergency assistance.
At the location, authorities found a brown Honda Civic sedan from Nakhon Pathom Province. The front end was severely damaged: the bumper had detached, the engine was compromised, and the vehicle had came to rest on the road adjacent to the damaged house wall.
Inside the car, officers located the driver, identified as Ms. Panatsada Kongthanathawikul, 45 years old. She exhibited clear signs of heavy intoxication, with a strong odor of alcohol emanating from her. She complained of chest tightness and had sustained minor injuries. Rescue personnel provided initial first aid before transporting her to a hospital for further treatment.

An examination of the surroundings revealed a roadside trash bin that had been struck and destroyed, along with a cracked and damaged fence post at the front of the house. Preliminary investigations suggest the driver was traveling at high speed, lost control at the curve, and failed to navigate the turn, resulting in the collision with the property.
During a search of the vehicle, police discovered a red bag containing paraphernalia commonly used for consuming methamphetamine (“ice”). The items were seized as evidence, photographed, and documented at the scene.

The homeowner told The Pattaya News that he and his family were asleep inside the house when they heard a loud explosive-like noise. Upon rushing outside, they discovered the sedan embedded in their front fence, with the female driver appearing unconscious or asleep inside the vehicle and unresponsive to calls. They immediately alerted authorities for help.
Police are awaiting results from blood alcohol concentration tests and a detailed screening for narcotics in the driver’s system. Charges are expected to include driving under the influence causing property damage, with additional legal action possible if drug-related offenses are confirmed.
