In keeping with traditional Thai Buddhist customs, before entering the ordination hall (ubosot), the novices participated in the circumambulation ritual, walking clockwise around the ordination hall three times to reflect on the sincerity and purity of body, speech, and mind required for ordination. The families organized a grand “nak procession” around the hall for five rounds, during which coins and banknotes were scattered as alms to symbolize generosity and merit-making.
The ordination was graciously officiated by Phra Kru Palad Sarawut Thitapanyo, Ph.D., Abbot of Wat Huai Yai and Ecclesiastical Head of Subdistrict Nong Prue Zone 2, Bang Lamung District, Chonburi Province, who served as the preceptor (upajjhaya).

Upon ordination, Mr. Chayanon Kaewsaeng received the monastic name “Thanawutthi” (ฐานะวุฒิโฒ), signifying one who possesses stability, prosperity, and success in duties and career. Mr. Theeraphong Pha Phrae was given the name “Theerapanyo” (ธีรปัญโญ), denoting a wise and excellent scholar.

The two new monks will now reside in the saffron robes to repay the kindness of their parents, in accordance with long-standing Thai Buddhist tradition. They will study the Dhamma and Vinaya (Buddhist teachings and discipline) at Wat Khao Boonmee Dararam (Wat Thung Kha).
