Authorities from the Human Trafficking Suppression Division, together with Pattaya City Police and local administrative officials, conducted a raid on two beer bars in the central Pattaya area on the evening of February 26th, 2026, following complaints of alleged underage child sexual abuse exploitation involving minors.
The operation took place around 8:06 p.m. and was led by Pol. Lt. Col. Kiatkongsak Thongkham, Deputy Commander of Subdivision 2, Human Trafficking Suppression Division (BPP), along with Pol. Col. Anek Sathongyu, Superintendent of Pattaya City Police Station, Pol. Lt. Col. Siriwat Khatchamat, Deputy Superintendent (Crime Suppression) of Pattaya Police Station, and Mr. Phichan Non Thawisuk, Banglamung District Chief Administrative Officer.
A joint team comprising of officers from the Human Trafficking Suppression Command, Pattaya City Police Station, and Banglamung District administrative officials targeted beer bars suspected of facilitating child sexual abuse exploitation after receiving public tip-offs.

The first establishment inspected was located in Soi Chaiyaphoon in South Pattaya. Officers executed a search warrant and arrest warrant at the premises. Upon inspection, no individuals under the age of 18 were found working at the venue and the venue appeared to be operating legally. However, authorities proceeded to collect evidence however related to the tip and detained individuals named in the arrest warrant for further interviews.
The second target was identified by relevant police as JJ Bar in the Central Pattaya area, where officers also carried out search and arrest warrants. During the operation, which included a sting (undercover purchase) element, two individuals later confirmed by police to be under 18 years old were discovered working at the establishment. The team immediately took control of the situation.
Officers detained the person acting as the manager or stand-in operator on behalf of the owner, along with other individuals named in the warrants. Various pieces of evidence were seized from the premises for ongoing legal action.

Authorities stated that the case involves serious allegations of facilitating child sexual exploitation involving minors, which carries severe penalties under Thai law, including provisions related to child protection and anti-human trafficking statutes.
The minors involved are expected to receive appropriate protection and support services, while investigations continue to identify any additional parties responsible and to determine the full extent of the alleged offenses. No further details on charges or identities have been released at this time pending completion of the inquiry.
This is the second similar criminal investigation launched against a bar in the Pattaya area this month, with another raid on a Naklua bar taking place several weeks ago as reported here.
