The incident occurred around 11:06 p.m. at a two-storey townhouse in Chokchai Village 9. Police Lieutenant Colonel Chanchai Songwansaksri, deputy inspector at Nong Prue Police Station, received the report and immediately notified Pol. Col. Natthaphon Phong Suk Sakun, superintendent of Nong Prue Police Station. A team of investigators and tourist police rushed to the scene.

The victim, Mr. Wesleigh, a 32-year-old British national working as a chef abroad, was at home with his 34-year-old Thai girlfriend, Ms. Chandee (surname withheld), and a British friend. According to their statements, while relaxing inside the residence, three suspects, described as likely foreign men dressed in dark hooded clothing that fully concealed their faces, burst in armed with knives.
The robbers reportedly held a knife to the British man’s neck, demanding to know where money was kept. They forced the victims and their friend into the kitchen, snatched two iPhones (an iPhone 16 and iPhone 14), and restrained them. When Ms. Chandee attempted to flee, she was dragged back.

The gang then proceeded upstairs, located and carried out a home safe containing more than 2 million baht in cash, funds the couple had withdrawn in preparation for purchasing a house. The suspects calmly exited the property, boarded a waiting black pickup truck parked outside, and fled the village. In their escape, they reportedly crashed through the security barrier at the guard post.
The victims, left shaken and terrified, immediately contacted authorities. CCTV footage from the residence clearly captured the robbers: three large, well-built men wearing long black hooded tops and pants, with only their eyes visible. The video shows them entering the home, followed by screams from the victims, and later exiting calmly with the stolen safe before driving away.

Pol. Col. Natthaphon ordered a rapid response, including radio alerts to intercept the vehicle and suspects based on witness descriptions and the escape route. Investigation teams were deployed to scour the area for leads and pursue the suspects.Police are treating the case as a targeted home invasion robbery and are reviewing additional CCTV footage from the village and surrounding areas. Efforts are underway to identify and apprehend the gang, who are believed to have fled the immediate vicinity.
