Pattaya, Chonburi – February 23rd, 2026 – Officers from Nong Prue Police Station conducted a raid on an illegal poker gambling operation hidden inside a commercial building in the heart of a residential community, apprehending 14 suspects and seizing a full set of gambling equipment.

The operation took place on the evening of February 22nd, 2026, following tips received by authorities about unauthorized gambling activities at the location in the Nong Prue Subdistrict.

Led under the supervision of Pol Col Natthaphon Phongsuksukul, Superintendent of Nong Prue Police Station, the raid was coordinated by Pol Lt Col Wirat Thetthong, Deputy Superintendent for Crime Suppression, and Pol Lt Col Khamron Rotma, Inspector for Crime Suppression. A team of patrol officers and special operations personnel carried out a thorough search of the premises.

Upon entering the building, police discovered 14 individuals actively engaged in playing poker, betting money and assets without any legal permit. The setup included a dedicated gambling table equipped with professional-grade tools, catching the group completely by surprise. Amid the ensuing panic, officers managed to detain all participants without incident.

Seized evidence included a large quantity of poker chips in various denominations, six decks of playing cards, one specialized poker table, and one CCTV camera along with its memory card.

All 14 suspects were initially charged with jointly participating in unauthorized gambling (poker) by betting property without legal permission, in violation of strict Thai gambling laws. They were taken into custody along with the confiscated items and transferred to investigators at Nong Prue Police Station for further legal proceedings.
