Pattaya, Thailand
Local officials in Pattaya have intensified ongoing efforts to regulate and assist vagrant and homeless individuals in the Jomtien area, wanting to maintain public order and ensure the safety of residents and tourists.
The Jomtien Municipal Office, together with Pattaya City administrators, Pattaya Police, the Chonburi Provincial Social Development and Human Security Office, Banglamung District officials, and other relevant agencies, conducted a joint inspection and enforcement operation in Jomtien.

During the operation, authorities screened and provided assistance to affected individuals, referring those in need to the Chonburi Provincial Shelter for the Destitute and Homeless for further support and care.
This is part of Pattaya’s continued commitment to upholding cleanliness, orderliness, and security across the city. Officials stated to the public that such measures help preserve the area’s appeal as a key tourist destination while addressing social welfare concerns compassionately.

This operation aligns with similar recent efforts in Pattaya and surrounding areas to manage public spaces and support vulnerable populations through coordinated multi-agency action.
It also follows, notes The Pattaya News, several viral incidents and issues involving homeless people in the Pattaya area such as this one on Pattaya Beach recently.
