Motorcyclist Seriously Injured After Collision in Jomtien

Pattaya, Chonburi – A young Thai man sustained life-threatening injuries in a motorcycle accident early Saturday morning when his bike collided with another motorbike, causing him to fall and become trapped beneath a parked sedan. Bystanders and rescuers lifted the vehicle to free him before rushing him to hospital.

The accident occurred around 1:00 a.m. on February 21st, 2026, on Second Road in Jomtien, in front of the View Talay 2 condominium. The Sawang Boriboon Pattaya Rescue Center received the emergency call reporting a motorcycle crash with a victim seriously injured and pinned under a car.

Upon arrival, Pattaya City Police patrol officers and Sawang Boriboon rescuers found a crowd gathered at the scene. The injured man, a Thai national estimated to be 25–30 years old, was lying face-down beside a parked sedan with his head wedged under the vehicle’s undercarriage. He was bleeding heavily from the mouth.

Rescuers, assisted by members of the public, carefully lifted the front of the sedan to extricate the victim. First aid was administered on-site before an ambulance from Pattaya City Hospital transported him urgently for emergency treatment.

Investigators located two motorcycles at the scene. One was a Honda Wave 125R, license plate 1 กค 8162 from Samut Prakan, showing minor side damage. This belonged to the other rider, Mr. Kiatisak Jansongkroh, 19, who works as a motorcycle taxi driver. He was uninjured.

The victim’s bike, a black Honda Scoopy, license plate 1 กฎ 3363 from Nong Bua Lamphu, lay overturned nearby with front-end damage.

According to Mr. Kiatisak’s statement to police, he was riding downhill from Phratamnak Hill toward Jomtien to pick up a passenger. He claimed he was traveling in the left lane as usual when the other motorcycle suddenly approached from the left, sideswiped his bike, and caused the rider to lose control and crash. He immediately called for help.

Police examined the scene, documented evidence, and collected footage from nearby CCTV cameras to determine the exact cause. Both parties will be summoned for further questioning, and legal proceedings will follow accordingly.

The victim’s current condition remains critical, with updates expected from hospital authorities. Road safety continues to be a major concern in Pattaya, particularly on busy routes like Second Road in Jomtien.
