A sad incident unfolded this morning in the Bang Phra subdistrict of Sriracha when a 71-year-old retired accountant suddenly fainted while handling his motorcycle outside his home, leading to his death.
The victim was identified as Mr. Suwit Tangloetpanya, 71, a former accountant. The event occurred around 9:30 a.m. on February 19th, 2026, in a quiet village residential area.
Rescue teams from the Sawang Prateep Sriracha Rescue Center responded to a radio alert and worked alongside officers from Sriracha Police Station to examine the scene.
In front of the house, authorities discovered Mr. Suwit’s body lying on his back. His black Honda Scoopy i motorcycle had toppled over and was resting across his leg. He was unresponsive, with no detectable pulse, and showed no visible signs of external injury or assault.
A search of his pockets revealed two bronchodilator inhalers, commonly prescribed for asthma, alongside his wallet, personal documents, and some cash.
A neighbor living directly across the street described returning home by car and spotting the overturned motorcycle in front of the house. Curious why it had not been righted, the neighbor approached and found Mr. Suwit unconscious on the ground, eyes fixed open and arms rigid from convulsions. The neighbor quickly summoned nearby residents, who immediately called for rescue assistance.
The victim’s daughter-in-law told The Pattaya News team about leaving home to head to work at about 8:40 a.m. While still on her way, shortly after 9 a.m., she received a distressing call from a neighbor reporting that her father-in-law had died. She hurried back and was devastated to find him in that condition.
She noted that Mr. Suwit had longstanding health issues, including hypertension and diabetes. Although the household normally includes several family members, everyone else had departed for work earlier, leaving him alone at the time.
Initial police inquiries indicate that shortly after his daughter-in-law left, Mr. Suwit likely pushed or prepared to move his motorcycle out of the house. He then suffered a sudden collapse and loss of consciousness. The scooter fell onto his leg, and he experienced convulsions before passing away moments later.
No one in the immediate vicinity witnessed the moment, as most neighbors had already left for their jobs.
Officers documented the scene with photographs and interviewed those involved. The body was handed over to rescue personnel for transfer to Laem Chabang Hospital, where an autopsy will be conducted to confirm the exact cause of death.
