Pattaya, February 14th, 2026 – In a gesture blending law enforcement with compassion on Valentine’s Day, officers from Banglamung Police Station in Chonburi Province arrested a 36-year-old woman for theft and drug possession, but then presented her with a rose and words of encouragement to turn her life around.
The operation was carried out under the supervision of Pol. Col. Sarawut Nuchanart, Superintendent of Banglamung Police Station. He directed Pol. Lt. Col. Yongyuth Wan Nuea, Deputy Superintendent of Investigation, along with Pol. Lt. Col. Wuttipong Kasa, Investigation Inspector, and Pol. Lt. Natthan Thany Jantawong, Deputy Investigation Inspector, plus an investigation team, to track down the suspect after the victim filed a complaint and provided CCTV footage as evidence.

Following continuous investigative efforts, authorities apprehended Ms. Atchaya Dongdaeng, 36, originally from Sisaket Province, inside her unmarked rented room in the Na Kluea area of Banglamung District, Pattaya. She faces charges of:
1. Theft from an employer
2. Illegal consumption of Category 1 narcotics (methamphetamine)
Amid the romantic atmosphere of Valentine’s Day, the officers handed the suspect a red rose. They offered words of advice and caution, hoping to inspire self-reflection and motivate her to seize the opportunity for rehabilitation, reform, and a lawful new beginning in life.

After the arrest, the woman was taken to Banglamung Police Station for further processing by investigators and formal legal proceedings. Police expressed their ongoing commitment to cracking down on crime while simultaneously providing chances for those who have gone astray to reintegrate sustainably into society.
