Takhian Tia, Banglamung District, Chonburi – February 3rd, 2026 – Officials from the Takhian Tia Subdistrict Municipality continue their on-site traffic organization operations during peak hours, wanting to improve flow and reduce congestion along the heavily used Takian Tia–Rong Po road (also known as Banglamung 25).
On the morning of February 3rd, 2026, Mr. Narongrit Prasitnak, Clerk of Takhian Tia Subdistrict Municipality, led a team that included Mr. Songwut Kobtham, President of the Municipal Council; Police Senior Sergeant Major Wirayut Thana, Head of the Administration Division (Prevention); Ms. Bulan Naosok, the newly appointed Head of Municipal Affairs; and other staff from the mayor’s team. They conducted on-the-ground duties to regulate traffic and provided encouragement to officers assisting commuters during the busy morning rush.
The initiative, led by Mayor Mitchai Kobtham and Clerk Narongrit Prasitnak in line with the administration’s policies, remains an ongoing effort on the Takian Tia–Rong Po route. This key thoroughfare sees heavy daily traffic, particularly during morning and evening peak periods, resulting in persistent bottlenecks, most notably between 7:00 a.m. and 8:00 a.m.
To address the recurring congestion, Takhian Tia Municipality has worked with the Takhian Tia Banglamung Subdistrict Municipality, local traffic police, Banglamung District Police Station, State Railway of Thailand officials at Banglamung Station, and other relevant agencies. Joint meetings began as early as October 31st, 2025. With the local population continuing to grow, the municipality has integrated multi-sector cooperation to implement measures that enhance traffic smoothness and alleviate public inconvenience.
Today’s field operations, along with sustained efforts in recent months, have yielded noticeable improvements in traffic conditions. Commuters in a hurry or with urgent commitments now experience significantly better facilitation. However, officials observed that many motorcyclists still fail to wear helmets, posing serious risks to life and property.
Takhian Tia Subdistrict Municipality urges all road users to prioritize safety by wearing helmets and adhering to traffic rules.
