Sattahip, Chonburi – January 29, 2026 – With gold prices continuing their relentless climb, police in Sattahip district have stepped up proactive measures to protect local businesses by conducting a high-intensity simulation drill for a gold shop robbery scenario.
On January 29th, 2026, at approximately 13:00 hrs, officers from Sattahip Police Station’s Prevention and Suppression Unit organized a full-scale rehearsal of a response to an armed robbery at a gold shop within the district. The exercise prominently featured the station’s elite Rapid Mobile Unit (Special Operations – ป.พิเศษ) as the primary strike force, demonstrating speed, precision, and professionalism in handling high-risk incidents.
The drill was supervised by Pol. Col. Komsan Khamtunkaeo, Superintendent of Sattahip Police Station, along with Pol. Lt. Col. Chanat Nawakunrangsi, Deputy Superintendent (Crime Suppression), and Pol. Lt. Col. Sila Saijai, Superintendent of Operations.
Operational command was assigned to Pol. Lt. Col. Kosol Sila, Superintendent of Operations (Specialist), who led a combined force including motorized patrol vehicles, motorcycle patrol units, and the core Rapid Mobile Unit (Special Operations).
Throughout the exercise, the ป.พิเศษ team showcased exceptional agility, accurate target approach, systematic communication, and swift containment of the simulated crime scene. The unit successfully neutralized the mock threat and secured the area within the designated time limit, reflecting months of continuous training and high operational readiness to respond to serious criminal incidents.
This rehearsal serves to reinforce the critical frontline role of the Sattahip Police Station’s Rapid Mobile Unit (Special Operations) in swiftly suppressing violent crimes. The display is intended to build greater public confidence, particularly among gold shop owners and residents, that Sattahip remains under the protection of highly capable law enforcement personnel.
