Bangkok, January 2026– Rising Thai golf star April Chanoknan Angurasaranee triumphed in the Honda LPGA Thailand National Qualifiers for the fourth time, securing her place in the upcoming Honda LPGA Thailand 2026 tournament with an impressive performance.
The world No. 456 carded a two-round total of 3-under-par 141 (71-70) to claim the title from a field of 89 competitors, including 25 professionals and 64 amateurs. Her victory grants her entry into the 19th edition of the Honda LPGA Thailand, scheduled for February 19-22, 2026, at the Siam Country Club Old Course in Pattaya. The elite event will feature 72 of the world’s top female golfers vying for a total prize purse of US$1.8 million (approximately 60 million baht).
Speaking after her win, an elated Chanoknan shared: “This year, everyone played exceptionally well, and the course was challenging with strong winds. As a child, I often came to cheer at the Pattaya event, and now earning the right to compete myself fills me with immense pride. I must thank my family for their unwavering support and Honda for creating this platform that allows young Thai players to step onto the global stage. From here, I’ll train even harder, hoping for a chance to play alongside my idols, Jeeno and May. Please cheer for me and all Thai golfers!”
Chanoknan, who began playing golf at age 11 and turned professional at 16, has built an impressive resume. Highlights include a runner-up finish at the 2023 Magical Kenya Ladies Open on the Ladies European Tour, participation in the LPGA Tour in 2024 and 2025, and her first career hole-in-one at the 2025 PIF Saudi Ladies International on the par-3 6th hole (154 yards) at Riyadh Golf Club in Saudi Arabia. Her ultimate goal is to become the world No. 1.

The 2026 Honda LPGA Thailand will welcome a star-studded field, headlined by world No. 1 Jeeno Atthaya Thitikul – the 2025 Rolex Player of the Year – alongside defending champion Patty Tavatanakit (2024 winner), May Ariya Jutanugarn (2021 champion), and 2025 winner Angel Yin from the United States, plus other top global players.
