PLUAK DAENG, Rayong– On January 9th, 2026, officers from Pluak Daeng Police Station launched a targeted operation aimed at sweeping illegal foreign workers from the area under their jurisdiction.
The operation was led by Pol. Col. Navin Sinthurat, Superintendent of Pluak Daeng Police Station, together with Pol. Lt. Col. Suchart Dusadee, Deputy Superintendent for Investigations, and Pol. Lt. Col. Niyom Chuephaka, Inspector of Investigations. A team of investigators from the station conducted raids and checkpoints across the district.

During the operation, authorities successfully arrested a total of eight Cambodian nationals for immigration violations, with some additionally facing weapons charges.
Three of the suspects were charged with two offenses:
– Jointly carrying knives in public places, villages, or public roads either openly or without reasonable cause, and
– Being aliens who entered and remained in the Kingdom without permission.
The individuals are:
1. Mr. Samos
2. Mr. Rat
3. Mr. Sai
Five additional suspects were arrested solely for illegal entry and residence in Thailand without authorization. They are:
4. Mr. Joy
5. Mr. Wasana
6. Mr. Phut
7. Mr. Sak
8. Mr. Dis
All eight suspects were taken into custody and handed over to investigators at Pluak Daeng Police Station for further legal proceedings.

Police officials stated that the operation is part of ongoing efforts to strictly enforce immigration laws and maintain public order and safety in the area. Authorities also stated they will continue to intensify crackdowns on similar violations to ensure security and prevent illegal activities in Rayong province’s Pluak Daeng district.
This action aligns with broader regional initiatives by police in eastern Thailand to address illegal migrant workers following recent public concerns over related incidents.
